Governor of Kaduna state meets with Igbos leaders and stakeholders living in Kaduna state






The Eze Igbos and other stakeholders living in Northern part of the country meets with the governor of Kaduna, governor El-Rufai.
In the remarks the Igbos leaders stressed that Nigeria more united as one country, hence condemned any act of destabilizing the peace and unity of the nation.
Eze of Niger state Pampa Nwahaiwe says "we are with our brothers. Sir please do not relent on your efforts for the struggle to unite the nation"

Govern El-Rufai described purported automaton by the Arewa youth as provocative and mischievous. The governor further urges Southern Eastern leaders to caution their youth from making inciting statement capable of truncating the peace and unity of the country.

Governor El-Rufai says "these young people that are shouting are the ones that will carry guns and get killed. It's not me and you, we are too old,  but we have not taught them by examples and trough discipline and enforcement of law that Whitney are doing is wrong. This is my appeal to you my royal highnesses. We all need Nigeria. It's from within Nigeria we can be all great"

INEC writes to Melaye, begins recall process July 3

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it has formally notified Senator Dino Melaye of the demand by the people of his constituency to recall him from the Senate. INEC said that the decision to inform Melaye was taken at its meeting held in Abuja on Thursday, where the petition submitted by voters in the Kogi-West senatorial district was considered. It also said that the petitioners and Dino Melaye would receive a notice by the commission on July 3rd, on when it would begin the verification of the signatures of those who signed the notice. A National Commissioner of INEC, Madam Mohammed Haruna, disclosed the commission’s decision in a statement issued in Abuja. Aggrieved voters from Melaye’s constituency were at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday where they presented their petition on their demand for the recall of the senator. Davido is building a house for Utibe and his mother. Utibe was the young boy who caught Davido’s attention when he was featured singing the musician’s hit song, ‘If.’ Utibe had been out of school and only passed the time miming songs. A concerned neighbour had taken a liking to the boy, and uploaded him singing the musician’s song on the Instagram. Davido became interested, and upon learning that the young boy was unable to enrol in school for lack of money, he offered to sponsor him to the highest level of education the boy might wish to attain. The news of Utibe’s video performance also came with the revelation that the boy’s mother, a single mom of four, is physically challenged and lived in a make-shift ‘house’ with her children.
