Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick resigns



Uber's troubled CEO and cofounder Travis Kalanick has resigned after a shareholder revolt. Wednesday's announcement came after a shareholder revolt as the company launched a new campaign to change its image amid a number of sexual harassment claims in the workplace, among other concerns.

 Allegation of sexual harassment and a lawsuit for allegedly stealing trade secrets shakes Uber co- founder Travis Kalanick. While a host of senior managers quite, which altogether added up to the losses of more than 7million dollars.

In resent years anti-uber in Europe, South America and Asia has destroyed cars registered under Uber which runs to millions of dollars.
But it was a video this year showing Travis Kalanick parading an Uber driver that ultimately confirmed to many that the problem of the company started at the top with their hot tempered Chief Executive.

INEC writes to Melaye, begins recall process July 3

The Independent National Electoral Commission says it has formally notified Senator Dino Melaye of the demand by the people of his constituency to recall him from the Senate. INEC said that the decision to inform Melaye was taken at its meeting held in Abuja on Thursday, where the petition submitted by voters in the Kogi-West senatorial district was considered. It also said that the petitioners and Dino Melaye would receive a notice by the commission on July 3rd, on when it would begin the verification of the signatures of those who signed the notice. A National Commissioner of INEC, Madam Mohammed Haruna, disclosed the commission’s decision in a statement issued in Abuja. Aggrieved voters from Melaye’s constituency were at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday where they presented their petition on their demand for the recall of the senator. Davido is building a house for Utibe and his mother. Utibe was the young boy who caught Davido’s attention when he was featured singing the musician’s hit song, ‘If.’ Utibe had been out of school and only passed the time miming songs. A concerned neighbour had taken a liking to the boy, and uploaded him singing the musician’s song on the Instagram. Davido became interested, and upon learning that the young boy was unable to enrol in school for lack of money, he offered to sponsor him to the highest level of education the boy might wish to attain. The news of Utibe’s video performance also came with the revelation that the boy’s mother, a single mom of four, is physically challenged and lived in a make-shift ‘house’ with her children.
